Gratitude List for Every Little Thing

  Gratitude ROCKS

I challenge everyone reading this blog to add a comment on this entry.  Let's see how long we can make it!

Gratitude makes us feel happy to be alive.  Gratitude makes us joyful towards our friends and family.  Gratitude makes us appreciate some tiny thing that could change our perspective on our lives.  What are you grateful for today? Write on this entry as many times as you want, any day you want.  No sarcasm and no negative thinking allowed (I won't publish, "I have nothing to be grateful for").  You can think of something!

I thank you for reading my blog and keeping up with my progress!

Julie

Wow, Thanks Garth for writing in on the gratitude list.  Those ARE great reasons for gratitude.

Every day is a gift.  That is why they call it the "present."

I'm grateful for the internet and email! I'm working far from home for 5 weeks and this is how I keep in touch with my friends, family and news events back home. The only news I get in English is CNN World and its pretty lame, so thank you internet! Missing my beloved Lakers in the NBA finals is less painful with friends sending me reports of the games.

YES!  I love the internet, too.  It keeps me in touch with all of you and gives me tons of useful information.  Thanks for writing in Callista, from so far away!  Happy Journey.

I actually had a grateful moment a few hours ago: Chris and I are working on our new condo -- putting in flooring, plumbing, etc. -- We often buy something like a new faucet and then the contractor says, "that won't fit with the new counter top" so we take it back.

So, on my way home from Home Depot, I was thinking how complicated it is to built the simplest thing like a condo and how everything has to fit "just exactly right" or it won't work and I started to think about our physical body... and it just hit me that there must be some amazing intelligence that puts us together from birth on and what a miracle it is that anything works at all -- so I just started to feel so GRATEFUL for what we have been given from our toes to the top of our heads.

So, that was my grateful moment!

Yesterday on my 45th birthday, I began feeling discouraged about being middle-aged. I was quickly reminded of all the blessing that are right in front of me. So I began to pray. I asked God to grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change and at that moment, I felt like nothing could get in my way, like... GOD HAD MY BACK. Try it you might like it!
