I feel great today-- had a good week

This week I had to decide what I was going to do with my hair as it falls out from chemo. I met with some wonderful women throughout the process. Some places make the wig out of your own hair, but I decided that if I cut my hair off, I'll give it to a place who will make a wig for young girls with cancer. I finally decided to get a wig at ENID's in Laguna Hills. She is a woman who has changed many women's lives with care and concern. Enid has been through her own cancer and she knows what it's like. She has helped me to find a very close wig to my own hair, so I won't feel like this cancer has taken my SELF away. Later, I can play more with more casual and different hair and have fun with it.
So many people have given me their ideas on how to deal with the hair loss. I appreciate all of the advice. I think I've combined it all to be what I need it to be. I'm going to go through the chemo and then cut it right before it falls out.
I've also gotten some wonderful gifts such as hats, eye lashes, purse/bag to carry all my comfort items, make-up, and a few more great books and DVDs for inspiration. I am amazed at how many people are thinking of me.
Many of the people I have met in the stores, and shops have been women who are seeing my own doctors. There is like another society of women of breast cancer around. I have heard over and over that Dr. Police, Dr. Kaidi, and Dr. Tetef are known as the best iteam n OC. I feel so secure in that.
I also finally got my drain out on Wednesday and could finally wear a bra. I found one at Enid's that will help me match the other breast. I can almost forget that I have something medically wrong with me.
If anyone wants to get me something, flowers and cards are absolutely wonderful, but try a gift certificate at ENID's, Ph# 949 582-9210. She has bra's, small hair caps for night time, hats, scarves, and tons of wigs. Her things are not expensive, so don't go crazy!
