The port was put in okay

Everything is going to be okay.  EGBOK.

After being stuck 7 or 8 times to find a vein to give me the IV medication so they could put me to sleep, so I wouldn't move while they put in the port, UGH, I finally went under and Dr. Police put in the port.  It looks great so far.  So, I'm thrilled no more anesthesiologists poking me for IVs or blood tests!  And the chemotherapy will go in with ease.

Tomorrow I go for a quick visit with Dr. Kaidi to finally get the 2nd drain out (it's been in there 21 days and still draining 60 cc's a day).  But, it's clear and ready to come out.

After Dr. Kaidi's visit, we go to Dr. Tetef's office for the big game plan with the chemotherapy.  I'll give you more news about that tomorrow.

Thanks for your support!

Well what a week this has been for you; none of it too fun but it is a one day at a time thing. Time flies so fast these days that I hope this will all be over before you know it and back to life as normal. Hopefully you can still have Starbucks during your treatments....because if not... well then THAT would be really bad

    Hi Deb,

Yeah, I wasn't too thrilled to hear I needed to cut down my coffee and diet coke intake. But, it could be much worse!!!

Hey, I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful tote you sent with all the comfort goodies. I'm blown away by how sweet it is. You are really thoughtful.

    Love,
    Julie
