Tomorrow is a big day
I get the bandage taken off by the reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kaidi. he will look at how the wound healed and if we can release the drains. I sure hope so. The drains are painful and the bandage is bugging me. But then, anything anyone wore for 7 days straight would bug them, eh? It's stinky and it itches!!! This horse has an itchy back and I can relate!

Okay, on the more serious side, we are still in the information gathering stages and I have my first visit with the hematology oncologist. Her name is Merry Tetef, M.D. She will work with me on the chemo and the radiation treatment plan. I like that her first name is "MERRY", not "MARY".
A very opitimistic Dr. Police called today to say that she saw the blood test report and the tissue tests that Tetef did of the tissue taken out during the surgery. The edges were clean and no cancer was left behind. It's still the same diagnosis, Stage II, invasive ductal carcinoma, but the question is how invasive. Only 2 of the lymph nodes were malignant which is really good news. The tumor in the breast was large and very close to the chest wall, so that is why they are going to consider radiation.
Please pray that no other places on my body were invaded and we caught it on time.
I will go for a PET CT Scan on Friday to find out for sure about that.
I am a warrior against this disease. Are you in my army? Let's love it to death and get it out of me. Visualize me, a very healthy, free of cancer.

I'm with you, girlfriend! That word "invasive" just creeps me out. "OUT, OUT, OUT cancer!" If I get to be in an army I want a sharp bayonette to cut away that which is not needed or wanted and rainbow bubbles to delight and invite all that is good, healthy, pure, and loving into your/our space. e-kisses
