Recovery going well

I feel everbody's positive wishes and prayers. Thank you very much for caring. It feels good to know I am not alone.
The night before last at the hospital I had some break through pain and it was horrible. I was weined off the pain pump with Diladid and I was suffering a bit. Finally at 3:00am, I called the nurse and she gave me a booster shot of it. In the morning, Rick and Dr. Kaidi worked on a formula to get me through the night at home. It's oxycontin which I never thought Rick agree with, but he was really concerned I'd be in a lot of pain, so he took the suggestion and did it. This morning I feel so much better after an 8 hour sleep. I slept like a baby! It was wonderful.
Today, mostly my underarm and my arm hurts, from all the lymph node removal (15). I'm typing this with my let hand only. My breast (or lack of one, LOL) doesn't really hurt. Sometimes I have this wierd phantom nipple pain. ha ha! The drains are wierd. I just let Rick deal with it. I don't want to even look at it. The other odd thing is that my ace bandage wrap was sewed on to my skin, so that it won't shift up or down. But sometimes I feel the stitches and it hurts. Bizzarre, eh?
Overall my pain level is about a 3 or 4. Yesterday it got up to 9, so we'll see how it goes today. Hey--- most days before the diagnosis, I had chronic pain between 4-8, so in a way I'm doing better than usual. I'm just very limited in what I can do. If I tried to Type, or clean, or drive, or any other normal activities, I'm sure my pain would be higher and I wouldn't heal as fast. Rick says my job is to be a sloth for 4 more days. I can do that. How often do we get to do nothing? I'm cherishing this time.
Rick is being awesome. What a trooper, helping me the way he does. I love him! Today we are going to see if we can wash my hair.
Thanks again for all your positive thoughts and prayers!
